Skydiving is a sport where mistakes can have huge consequences. In Canada, (at least where I live) we don’t jump year round, which means most of us might be a bit rusty when it warms up enough to start jumping again. So, my DZ holds a “Safety Day” where we review stuff we might have forgotten. We went over emergency procedures. (Cutaway and reserve.) We also spent a fair bit of time going over equipment inspection. (making sure our gear is good to jump… which should really be done before every jump.)

One of our TIs did a recurrency jump and a few others got to do their first jump of the year. I wasn’t expecting that and hadn’t brought all my gear. Soon!
